Together, we’ve developed a curated collection of bespoke woven pieces, handcrafted by Frafra artisans in northern Ghana, exclusively for TOAST and their discerning customers.

Rooted in Craft: The Frafra Weavers

The Frafra people of Ghana’s Upper East Region are custodians of a remarkable weaving tradition. Using elephant grass harvested and prepared by hand, Frafra artisans weave with a rhythm honed over generations. Their baskets are more than objects; they are expressions of cultural identity, craftsmanship, and community.

Curating for TOAST

In close collaboration with the TOAST team, we’ve developed a collection of bespoke pieces that honour the spirit of both brands: rooted in tradition, made with intention, and designed to last.

Among the pieces crafted exclusively for TOAST are:

• A variety of lampshades – All classic and understated, designed to elevate everyday interiors.

• Bird nesters – Organic, nature-inspired forms that provide homes for birds and other wildlife.

• Laundry Baskets & Washing Baskets – Spacious, durable and beautifully woven, bringing utility and charm into the home.

• Storage Baskets – designed with a beautiful open weave to be both practical and decorative.

Each item has been designed with TOAST’s seasonal aesthetic in mind — drawing on an earthy, natural palette and minimalist shapes that highlight the integrity of the weave.
