Every month, we shine a light on one of our brilliant stockists - the shops that help bring Frafra Baskets into new homes. This time, we’re heading to north London to celebrate After Noah, a store that’s equal parts furniture restoration workshop, vintage treasure trove, and beautifully curated gift shop.

From Grandfather’s Workshop to London Classics

After Noah’s roots go back to the 1930s, when Robert Keyes, a master cabinetmaker, set up his workshop in London’s East End. His love of restoration and craftsmanship was passed down through the family, and in 1990, his grandson Matthew Crawford and partner Zoë Candlin opened After Noah on Upper Street in Islington.

Since then, it’s grown into a much-loved destination that brings old and new together. Their workshop restores furniture with care, while the shop floor blends mid-century classics with contemporary design, plus a colourful mix of homewares, gifts, and unexpected finds.

It’s a place where everything feels chosen with an eye for character and lasting value. There’s something grounding about a shop that celebrates the long life of a piece, whether it’s a 1950s sideboard given a new lease of life, or a timeless object that will be loved for years to come.
